New Leadership at Bassett Industries

Bassett Industries is pleased to announce that Bret D. Milks has been appointed as President of the company as of June 30, 2022. Bret follows in the footsteps of his father, David E. Milks, who passed away in February 2022. Bassett Industries was a veteran owned operation for 30 years under David’s leadership starting out in King of Prussia before expanding its operations to Pottstown, PA. Through his entrepreneurial mindset, David transformed the steel distribution center into a leading steel fabrication business on the East Coast.

Working together for the last 20 years, father and son have been improving the facilities to include state of the art touch screen tube bending, 5 axis laser cutting, robotic welding, waterjet cutting, and other valuable services for its many national customers. Bret has been at Bassett Industries since 2000 serving as its engineering manager. Bret earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University and an MBA from the Penn State Smeal College of Business.

As he assumes a more significant role in the planning and strategic direction for the future, Bret strives to continue the mission of Bassett Industries to be an innovator in steel fabrication technology. Bassett’s focus will continue to be on building a talented, technically skilled team to deliver quality and service for long term sustainability and growth.

Please Support the Jason Lick Fire Fund

Jay lost everything in a fire at his apartment complex last night, July 30. He has been a dedicated employee at Bassett Industries walking to work every day for the last ten years. He always has a smile on his face and enjoys his interactions with all. Now it’s our turn to help Jay and help him get back on his feet. He also is a Civil War buff knowing more about the Battle of Gettysburg than most history teachers! We want to support Jay and start hearing those fascinating war stories again.

Bassett Industries Increases Sheet Laser Cutting Capabilities and Efficiencies with a New 8kw, 2 meter x 4 meter Fiber Sheet Laser
